Abby Hartmann

Teacher

Abby started at Bayside Dance in 2018 in her 10th year of high school. She really enjoyed learning contemporary during that year, and once watching the concert, was inspired to join hip hop. In 2019 Abby completed her Certificate III in Early Childhood Education, and had jobs in babysitting and disability support work which she still has to this day.

Working with kids has always been something Abby was interested in, and she is in her third year of University this year studying a double degree in Secondary Education and Fine Arts majoring in film and television at QUT (Queensland University of Technology). She aims to become a high school teacher of English, media, dance and drama.

Abby’s favourite styles of dance are hip-hop and contemporary and she is thrilled to be teaching both of these styles this year. She is keen to keep learning more about dance and hopes to inspire kids to keep trying hard and staying positive. Abby is super happy about being a member of the Bayside Dance team and cannot wait to help others enjoy dance, build their skills, and have a fun time in class!
